FREE Virtual Tools Give Away
During the COVID-19 pandamic, families aren't allowed to visit their loved ones living in long-term care communities. Only "virtual visits" are allowed.
And, facilities must provide the technology for residents to use.
But, not all communities can afford the added expense of purchasing new equipment. Some long-term care communities operate on a limited budget, especially those accepting residents on Medicaid. Also, new resident admissions are restricted, so facilities are experiencing higher vacancy rates. Revenue is down during this pandemic.
Caregivers are using their own personal smart phones and tablets for "virtual visits". This doesn't seem right so OSRAA is giving away several devices to communities who need them.
